New Zealand's seasons are the opposite of the Northern Hemisphere.
The warmest months are December through to March, and the coldest months are June to August. The North Island is subtropical and the South temperate.
In summer, the average maximum temperatures range between 20 and 35 degrees, in winter between 10 and 15 degrees.
